Why I Love the Philly Suburbs

-PHILLY SUBURBS-

The Philly Suburb Neighborhoods Explained

Are you wondering what’s good about the Philly suburbs? I know what you may be thinking, it’s not Philly – or it’s boring, too suburban –  but for those of us who have been here a while, we will let you in on the little-known secrets that have people staying here for years.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this video:

  • The #1 best place to live in America for 4 straight years in a row
  • How you can find freedom and flexibility to decide where you want to live
  • A unique but well-known feature in the suburbs that you might not want to live without
  • Some important research to conduct when it comes to what kind of suburbs you most resonate with

REASON #1
Parking is not a nightmare

If you’ve ever been in any major city like Philly or New York and had to fight your way toward a parking spot, this is most likely not going to happen unless it’s Black Friday and you’re looking to shop at King of Prussia Mall. Now, you may have to walk to get to your destination if you’re parked on the street in one of the more populated areas but it is not that challenging. Of course, most people do have parking spaces or garages so this is a treat when you’re going out.

REASON #2
Choose Your Suburbia

And fun fact, if you’d like to live in the number one best place to live in America you can look no further than Chesterbrook which was ranked four 4 straight years till 2023  according to Niche.com.

You can have a variety of choices when it comes to where you want to live. If you’re looking to settle down for a more typical peaceful suburban lifestyle then there are plenty of options to do that throughout Delaware County, Chester County, and Montgomery County. However, if you’re looking to be even more remote, perhaps have your own farm or just more space, areas in Bucks County can offer you that. You don’t need to settle on just peaceful if you prefer more urban areas like Ardmore or King of Prussia. You’ll find plenty of things happening there.

REASON #3
Access to high quality services

From food to healthcare to construction, you’re able to get access to high-quality professionals in the area. There are several top-ranked healthcare systems for everyday and specialized care. It’s also home to many colleges and universities such as Villanova, Swarthmore College, and Haverford College. And of course, you’ll be able to find plenty of food options. What I love too is being able to go to local farms during the season and even farmer’s markets. We got a farm share for years from Blooming Glen Farm in Bucks County and loved it.

REASON #4
Access to Green Space

From national parks to small community parks to arboretums, you really can’t find a town that doesn’t have at least some green space in the Philly Suburbs. Now, I know a lot of you are not too fond of it, especially if you have allergies, but if you can stand the outdoors you’ll find so many options for walking, hiking, and biking. A favorite of mine in Chester County is Marsh Creek State Park, where you can swim, kayak, and more.
